Our Director Stephen Archer is a trained signwriter with over 40 years experience. He has used a variety of media - from traditional signwriting and painting pictorial work, to 3D fabrication and installations. He has also been involved in the pre-production of films, such as King Kong and The Water Horse, working in the art department.

Stephen works mostly with digital prints and graphics now but still does the odd hand-painted sign and likes to paint recreationally.  During his years living on the Kapiti Coast in Aotearoa New Zealand, he developed a stoneware product (Hypertufa) and trading under the name of Kapiti Tufa, designed, manufactured and supplied a range of water features and garden art to New Zealand homes.

As well as back in NZ, Stephen has family in Melbourne, and he and his partner Tania recently relocated to Lakes Entrance. Archer Signs is a testament to the passion and dedication poured by Stephen into every project.
